I currently work at Hamilton Elementary.
How long have you been working at SASD?
I have worked at SASD for 18 years!
If you had gone into another profession, what would it be and why?
I think I would make a great detective or a lawyer because I like trying to uncover the truth, fighting for what is right, and having a good argument! :)
What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?
Be true to yourself. There will always be struggles, but the rewards will be greater. You got this!
If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?
Invisibility for sure! What could be better than being invincible?!?! I would have so much fun!
How and when did you know being a school nurse was what you wanted to do?
I have always wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl. I have always enjoyed taking care of children and after having my 1st son Tyler, I knew I wanted to work with children in a school setting.
What will your life look like after you retire?
After I retire from SASD I will be traveling and spending as much time with my husband, children, and grandchildren. I see a lot of beaches in my future!
What is a hidden talent of yours?
I bake a lot! I like to decorate cakes for all occasions and make chocolate lollipops.
What is your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement is becoming a nurse at the age of 19. I was the first one in my family to go to college.
What makes you smile?
My family. Being around my husband, sons, and grandchildren makes my heart smile.
