Jazz Band

The high school Jazz Band is an auditioned group which meets every Tuesday evening starting in January. They play various styles of jazz including swing, Latin, rock, and funk. They have performed at Great Wolf Lodge, at assemblies for I.E.S. students, at our district wide jazz concert, and at various adjudications. The band has also performed several shows at the Sherman Theater with the COTA Festival Orchestra (directed by Rick Chamberlain and founded by Grammy Award winner Phil Woods) with featured soloists “Blue” Lou Marini (sax player from the “Blues Brothers” band/movies)
