Nearby Columcille Megalith Park provides tranquil atmosphere to visitors
October 31, 2018
Gaelic for Home of the Dove, Columcille Megalith Park is located in Bangor, PA, just past the Stroudsmoor Country Inn.
Mr. William Cohea Jr. created this outdoor sanctuary in 1975 in order to unite people of all faiths and cultures.
Populations come to pray and meditate in the St. Columba chapel and hike around the unique rock formations in order to find peace and rebirth in nature.
Many events are held year round such as park tours and Celtic concerts for quality family time or just a day out with friends. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to visit Columcille Megalith Park at any time from dawn until dusk.

There’s not just the maze either, there’s a lake and an old bell tower and a lot of big rocks. You can even buy crystals and get some free hot cocoa in the lounge on cold winter days. It’s also a good place to hike if you want to experience the strange atmosphere.

This place is wonderful! If you wanted more info on it’s creation, there’s a documentary available at the gift shop / information center by the entrance.
