Recently, senior Britney Hewitt shattered the blocks record for the girls volleyball team. The previous record of 134 blocks lasted until Hewitt came along. She is currently at 137.5 blocks and isnai??i??t slowing down.

ai???All the hard work Ai??and effort Iai??i??ve been putting in year round, no matter who has tried to break me down has paid off,ai??? Hewitt said.

Hewitt has a lot of fond moments throughout her varsity career, but a couple stand out.

While only a freshman, Hewitt blocked an all-conference player. Hewittai??i??s favorite part was ai???turning around and hearing Sarah Fillman tell me I blocked the First Team hitter/blocker from East Stroudsburg South.ai???

Another highlight Hewitt recalled was her ai???career breaking block that hit the girl who hit the ball right back in her face,ai??? Hewitt said.

The girls volleyball team currently has a 10-9 record, according to the EPC website. The volleyball team is led by the senior team captains: Emily Cramer, Natalia McLaren, Emem Inyang and Britney Hewitt.
