Poll greeting table set up at a Blakeslee polling site.

The 2024 presidential race has shown to be a competitive one for the Republicans.

There are eight candidates for the republican party and only three candidates for the Democrats.

For the Republicans, the nominees are former President Donald Trump, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Florida Governor Ron Desantis, former Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Congressman Asa Hutchinson, Ryan Blinkey, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.

Pale in comparison, the Democratic Party has incumbent President Joe Biden, Marianne Williamson, and Congressman Dean Phillips.

While it is still undecided, the Republican nominees engage in heated debates to compete for the G.O.P nomination. The next Republican debate is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, and can be watched on various online sites such as NBCNews.com

Currently, The Democrats do not have any debates scheduled.

For many students, the 2024 presidential election will be the first election they will be able to vote in. It is important for young adults to be educated and well-versed in politics in order to make informed decisions.

It is also important to ensure you are registered to vote. In PA, you must register to vote at least 30 days before Election Day.

If you need help registering to vote, visit vote.pa.gov.
