At which school in the district do you work?
I have been working at the junior high school for the past seven years.
Before that, I worked at the middle school.
How long have you been working at SASD?
I have been working for the SASD for ten years.
What is your favorite part of working at SASD?
The SASD is a community. I am not from this area so I feel this is my home
away from home.
What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?
If you want to further your education do not wait. I received my Master’s
Degree at the age of 47 and regret waiting so long.
If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?
If I could clone myself! There are days where there is not enough time in
the day or you are needed for multiple situations at the same time.
What is your proudest achievement?
I will be married 25 years this year. My two children are also my proudest
achievement. They have both grown into adults that I can be proud of.
What will your life look like after you retire?
I would like to go somewhere warm in the winter to avoid the cold winters
and snow here in Northeast Pennsylvania. I would then spend the rest of
my time at the lake and hopefully traveling. I enjoy kayaking and walking.
What is your favorite memory of being at SASD?
Each year at the junior high school we have ESL Thanksgiving. The
students bring dishes from their country for the staff to enjoy. We eat lunch
together and learn about the different cultures and experiences of our
students.
