What subject(s) do you teach?
I teach English. More specifically, I teach English Composition 12, Mythology & Folklore, Intro to Film Studies, and English 10.
How long have you been teaching at SASD?
I have been teaching here since January of 2025.
What is your favorite part about teaching?
Being able to share passions with my students.
What is one piece of advice you would share with your students?
Know Thyself.

What is your proudest achievement?
I’m proud of the whole collection of things that I have done in my life. I have been in theater, performing in, directing, and producing shows. I got a full-tuition scholarship to Bucknell University. I’m very proud of my career and the work I’ve been able to do. I’m proud of my relationships with friends and family. It’s difficult to narrow it down to one thing.
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
Wanting to be a caring and insightful adult in the lives of young people, especially during such a tumultuous time as adolescence.
What makes you smile?
Seeing someone, especially one of my students, indulge in one of their passions.
What is something your students have taught you?
My students have taught me that no matter how dark or difficult times may seem, we always have reasons to hope. The young people give me hope for the future, and I wish more people could see that.
