It’s time to cast your votes. April 30th, around 7:15, sophomores & juniors will be choosing who they want to manage their class for the 2026-2027 school year.
First things first, who’s running for sophmores?
- Secretary: Brooke Henning & Olivia Selena
- Treasurer: Catalina Campbell & Karly Evans
- Vice President: Raymond Full
- President: Mallory Eberz & Sophie Piggott
The current year and acting class officers have performed greatly. Of course, with anything, there is little criticism but always room for improvement. Some sophomores feel that there was a lack of communication and involvement among the student population. There were many highlights, such as the second-place winning for the sophomore float and “War”naments.
The new candidates running for officer positions have great aspirations for the class of 2028 and hope to change it for the better; here is what some have to say.
Mallory Eberz, running for class president, says, “I plan of making the class of 2028 better by bringing more optimism and involvement in our class and just bringing more fundraisers so we can raise more money for prom.”
She continues with, “I think I should win the vote because of leadership skills and my ability to work with people and use their different talents and all that they bring so we can, you know, bring more excitement into our fundraisers.”
What about some other voices?
Catalina Campbell says that she will fix what she sees to the best of her ability. She says, “I have a lot of great skills which would be valuable to the board, and I want to bring openness to the class so everyone can see where fundraisers are going and where money is going. I feel like a lot of fundraisers were unknown to the class.”
Her opponent, Karly Evans, believes that she is, “for everyone in our class and [she] wants to be able to speak for the people who want things to happen and want things to change, and obviously make a bigger impact from what happened this year.”
Voting will be here in an instant, so make sure you vote honestly for who you trust the most and not just your friends. April 30th, homeroom. Good luck to all candidates!
