Adrian says that American schools have more classes based on music. Thereai??i??s more classes provided in America where we can learn more about things that involve creativity such as music and art. America provides more options in learning how to play different instruments. Students are provided with more choices when it comes to what they prefer. Advanced technology – such as whiteboards – arenai??i??t provided in Germany either, if so itai??i??s not provided for all classrooms. Every teacher in America has their own room, but in Germany, classrooms are not delegated to one teacher. Their classrooms switch around.
Adrian says that in America, students are given three months to themselves in the summer rather than six weeks in Germany. Those three months could be used to continue learning and keeping up with all the coursework they learned that year. Studies show that students in America forget a lot of important things that they have learned, such as new languages. After summer break they are forced to remember all their past year lessons. He thinks that American schools should provide more language based learning classes at an earlier age rather than starting in the 8th grade. No dress code is another factor that America could learn from Germany, because fashion is a way for people to express themselves. The underlying factor to removing dress code would be whether or not students would dress appropriately or inappropriately. Adrian thinks having no dress code could be a way to set each other apart, and that students should at least be given a chance.
