Sports Update for 3/25-3/27

In shortened, weather impacted week, the Mountaineers shine

BASEBALL

Season Record: 2-1 (1st in District 11 6A).

Last Week: 1-0; Won against Easton, 8-7, POSTPONED at Whitehall – rescheduled for April 20th.

Top Performances: P/OF, Jackson Brancato, pitching two innings, 3 strikeouts, winning pitcher and hitting two hits, three runs batted in.  P/1B, Anthony Knight, pitching five innings, five strikeouts, and hitting two hits, one run batted in.  P/INF, Paulie Maccarrone, 11 had one hit and two runs batted in.

This Week: Today at East Stroudsburg North at  4:00 pm;  on 4/4 at Dieruff High School at 4:00 pm, and on 4/6 against Palmerton at 11:00 am.

SOFTBALL

Season Record: 2-1 (8th in District 11 6A).

Last Week: 0-1 Lost against Easton, 11-4; POSTPONED at Whitehall and rescheduled for April 20th.

This Week: Today at East Stroudsburg North at 4:00 pm, on 4/4 at Dieruff High School, at 4:00 pm, and on 4/6 at Delaware Valley High School, 11:00 am.

BOYS TENNIS

Season Record: 4-4 (9th in District 11 3A).

Last Week: 1-1; Won against East Stroudsburg, 4-2; lost against Freedom, 7-0; POSTPONED vs Whitehall and rescheduled for March 26th.

This Week: Today at Bangor High School at 3:30 pm, tomorrow against Parkland at 3:30 pm,  on 4/5 at Liberty High School at  3:30 pm), on 4/6 against Whitehall at 3:30 pm.

TRACK AND FIELD

Boys: 1-0, won against Northampton High School, 99-51

Girls: 1-0, won against Northampton High School, 104-46

Last Week: Won against Northampton High School
