On Wed, April 24, Stroudsburg defeated East Stroudsburg South, 5-3.

The team continues to roll as with 8 games left in the season, they are 8-4.

Jordan Cook, 9, went the distance for the second consecutive game, striking out four East Stroudsburg South hitters while only allowing one walk. This marks back-to-back incredible starts for Cook, who only allowed one hit against Pocono Mountain West.

Dot Elko, 10, stayed hot on offense, knocking three hits, driving in a run and scoring one. Elko leads the team this season with two home runs.

Allison Wills, 12, had two hits herself, crossing the plate twice. Sierra Thieme, 12, also had two hits and drove in a run.

This comes off of the victory on Monday where the team dominated Pocono Mountain East, 14-2.

Hannah Helm, 12, went six innings, striking out six in the victory. Recently, Helm reached the 100 strikeout mark for her high school career, which is an amazing accomplishment.

Currently, the team sits at eighth in District 11 6A. They are tied with Northampton for the final spot in the playoffs. They sit a game and a half back from the 4th seed Easton Area High School.

Their next home game is on April 30 against East Stroudsburg North at 4:00 pm. It is also serves as the team’s senior night. Come out and support the girls as they push towards another playoff appearance.
