Describe your feelings about earning this outstanding award?

  • I am definitely happy to receive this.  My family is proud of me and all, but it doesn’t change how I go about my life. Yes it’s nice, but it doesn’t really change too much with regards to school or my social life.

Which teacher/educator has been most influential in your academic success?

  • Mr. Clemson and Mr. Doney are both the most influential people.  They both taught me that I have to work for my grades, but the product that comes from it is better with the work that’s put into it.

Outside of education who has been your mentor, or biggest influence?

  • My Grandfather has been a large influence in my life, and he tells me to keep going and keep working, no matter how difficult the situation is.

What other award have you received throughout high school that you are most proud of?

  • My multiple medals from Science O in the events of Astronomy, Experimental Design, Materials Science, and Hovercraft.

What are your favorite hobbies, why do you enjoy them?

  • Telescoping, because I‘m able to be to myself and get lost in the stars for hours on end without having to worry about anything.

What is your favorite high school memory?

  • It’s easily going to states for science O my Junior and Senior year.  The shenanigans that occurred are definitely ones to remember forever.

What advice can you give SHS underclassmen?

  • Why worry about anything? If you can change it, do so.  If you can’t, why worry about it?
