At which school in the district do you teach?

I currently teach at Stroudsburg Junior High School. I have also taught at Stroudsburg High School.

What subject(s) do you teach?

I teach Career Awareness, Computer Skills, Introduction to Business, and 19th c American History.

What grade (s) do you teach?

I teach both 8th and 9th grade.

How long have you been teaching at SASD?

This is my 22nd year teaching at SASD.

What is one important lesson you have learned as an educator?

I learned that teaching is ever evolving and you need to evolve with it.  Also, you need to constantly try to improve because the world is changing and improving as well.

What is your favorite sports team? Why are they your favorite?

I am a huge Eagles and Phillies fan.  My entire family has always liked those teams and I just followed in my family’s footsteps.

What is your favorite quote and what does it mean to you?

A goal without a plan is just a wish.  I have this quote hanging in my classroom and to me, it makes a lot of sense.  Anyone can say they want to accomplish something great but unless you have a plan and follow that plan you are just wishing the goal to come true and not trying to make that goal a reality.

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?

I always thought it would be great to have the ability to speak every language in the world. So no matter where you are you can have a conversation.

How and when did you know that teaching was what you wanted to do?

I knew when I was in high school I wanted to be involved in athletics.  I had a lot of coaches that were teachers.  So I decided to become a teacher so I could then become a coach.  Also, teaching a class is a lot like coaching.
