Freshman Spotlight on Ana Karataseva

Freshman+Spotlight+on+Ana+Karataseva

Do you have any hobbies or activities you enjoy?

I enjoy playing my violin and my flute. I also find myself crocheting some stuff while I’m sitting around watching a show.

Do you have a favorite sport? Do you play it too? Why do you like it?

My favorite sport is volleyball, I’ve been playing for two years now. My friends really brought up my interest of volleyball.

What’s your favorite movie (or show)?

My favorite shows, as of now, are Gilmore Girls and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I started reading the books a few weeks ago and I’m really starting to enjoy them.

How do you think you’ll feel in the High School?

I think I’ll feel the same but also different. The way the high school works is totally different, but I know that I’m most excited for the library!

What is your favorite class at the Junior High School? Why?

I have too many classes to choose from. I really like my music classes (orchestra and band), my world language class (French), and my English class, despite the lit circles.

What’s your favorite quote?

“I smell snow,” from Gilmore Girls.

Which places would you like to travel to someday and why?

I really want to travel to Macedonia and I am actually going to be able to this summer with my family. My father’s side of the family all live there and I just can’t wait to see my cousins and to see where my parents grew up! I’d also like to travel anywhere in the world if that is a chance I can get.

What is your most fond memory?

My favorite memory was when I went to Mexico with my family last year. The last day of the trip was the best in my opinion, because we went to some of our favorite places that day, the restaurant on the beach, we walked around main street, and lastly we went to a chocolate cafe, where we took many silly photos.
